I'm a thirty something (OK I'm 40 in October) mum of three children, aged 16, 7 and 2.

I work part-time for a Business Start Up initiative & I have a part-time photography business - Freckles Photography, which keeps me busy, and my passion alive.

As an avid reader of other people's blogs I thought I had better get cracking with mine so I can record some memories of our family life, which is flying by at an astonishingly fast pace. I also like to blog about my other hobbies of reading, knitting & other crafts.

Seasons

Whilst on maternity leave, I have taken advantage of the lovely surroundings on our doorstep, daily – sometimes 3 times per day. We do the “Duck Run”. Which basically is getting out of the house, with dog, pram, baby and now and then children.

When it got to October the change in the season became so noticable on our walks that I grabbed the camera and shot a number of images. Quite often I was rocking the pram whilst trying to steady the camera, and singing nursery rhymes to get Hugo to sleep.

When we had the very cold snowy spell after Christmas the scenery again was so dramatic, that the camera came out. I now need to remember to replicate the shots around April and July.
