I'm a thirty something (OK I'm 40 in October) mum of three children, aged 16, 7 and 2.

I work part-time for a Business Start Up initiative & I have a part-time photography business - Freckles Photography, which keeps me busy, and my passion alive.

As an avid reader of other people's blogs I thought I had better get cracking with mine so I can record some memories of our family life, which is flying by at an astonishingly fast pace. I also like to blog about my other hobbies of reading, knitting & other crafts.

The Gallery: Back to school

This weeks gallery prompt from Tara at Sticky Fingers is back to school. I was going to try and dig out an old school photograph of me, but as they all reside lovingly in my parents loft (unless they got chucked in the last move) I rounded up the ‘willing’ volunteers.

Teen is entering her last year of senior school, which has changed this year into an academy. Just what you need in your final GCSE year a load of new ideas and changes (but the smart new uniform went down well). Middle Child is going into her last year of primary school. Eek!
