The Gallery: Vintage

This weeks gallery prompt from Tara at Sticky Fingers is ‘one word’. I choose vintage. I had no problem choosing one word, but I had great difficulty choosing one picture.

In a world of high tech gadgetry there is something very appealing about vintage objects of a bygone era. Something that makes you want to touch them rather than just admire from afar. The great thing about all of these is that they all still work too! Alright the last one might not be accurate, but it has the ahh factor!

Those are beautiful images. I love vintage things, the only thin I have is an "old" Kenwood mixer. Love it to pieces I do.

I just saw the most amazing window display at All Saints, there were hundreds of vintage Singers all lined up and it just looked so cool! I also love the tin! x

It really is craftsmanship isn't it. Even bits that aren't on show are still ornamental.

The sewing machine is such a thing of beauty – all the detail: you'd never get that now.
