I'm a thirty something (OK I'm 40 in October) mum of three children, aged 16, 7 and 2.

I work part-time for a Business Start Up initiative & I have a part-time photography business - Freckles Photography, which keeps me busy, and my passion alive.

As an avid reader of other people's blogs I thought I had better get cracking with mine so I can record some memories of our family life, which is flying by at an astonishingly fast pace. I also like to blog about my other hobbies of reading, knitting & other crafts.

Yarn Along

The week has flew around to Wednesday already, so it must mean it’s time for The Gallery & Yarn Along.

Debbie Bliss Bootes, Andrea Levy Long Song

I had hoped to have finished the blanket, and I so very nearly have! I have just squeezed in these little favourites for another little baby which has arrived in the last few weeks. One down and one to go. I also started a new book last night. Andrea Levy’s – The Long Song. I loved Small Island so much & I’m trying not to let my expectations be too high for this one, but I’m desperate for it to wow me.

That is the sweetest little bootie. My best friend is having a baby this fall so I finally have a reason to knit baby items!

Those baby shoes are so darling!
I have a couple of friends with newborns too. Maybe I should whip out a set of these…if only I had a little more time. :-)
