Friday Club – Where I Call Home

Ella at Notes from Home has asked us this week where do we live and why?

I live in a town called St Helens, halfway between Liverpool & Manchester. I suppose I live here because it is where I was born. I did live in Preston for about 7 years, but came back home to where my baby sitters parents are.

We are lucky to have this playground on our doorstep:

We feed the ducks a lot, when H actually shares his bread with them.

It isn’t the prettiest of places being of industrial origin, but it isn’t too big to feel like your anonymous here, nor is it too small to feel that everyone knows your business.

If you travel to Liverpool along the M62 you will see the Dream sculpture on your right – this is in St Helens.

So where do you live and why? I bet there are some really exotic stories out there, but I’m very happy where I live, as it’s where my children, husband & friends are.

You sound like me – little enough so you *might* see a friendly face when you're out and about, but big enough so not everybody knows your business…

Looks lovely.

It doeasn’t look industrial from your photos. Anywhere with that amount of green expanse and places to feed the ducks is a good place to live.
